Presentation to the public of the Jean Capart Fund

After a private launch, held in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre on 18 February 2017, the Jean Capart Fund has decided to present its project to professionals working in Egyptology, the media, sponsors and all those interested in Egypt and the history of Egyptology.

On Friday, 1st December 2017, the prestigious surroundings of the Royal Museums of Art and History (in the Cinquantenaire Park) in Brussels will host an all-day conference on the theme “In the footsteps of Jean Capart…”.
Honoured by the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Esmeralda of Belgium, Honorary President of the Jean Capart Fund, there will be a number of lectures (in French and Dutch) relating to the life and work of Belgian Egyptologist Jean Capart.

On the following day, Saturday 2nd December, guided visits to the museum’s Egyptian collection will be held, in French and Dutch.

Although registration for these two events is free, entrance to the museum must be paid. Reservation is obligatory.
If you would like to take part in the conference on 1st December and/or a visit of the collections on Saturday 2nd December, please fill in the registration form.
